I GOT MY IRON BUCKET BACK!!
Now you may be wondering, "huh why is that so special?" Well let me tell you a little bit about my current survival world.
I'm in a superflat world. But not just any superflat world. I'm in a STRUCTURELESS SUPERFLAT WORLD. In case you aren't familiar with this kind of gamemode, here's a summary. First, you need a bonus chest. It has to have 2 apples and enough planks for a crafting table. Next, the early game is all about punching zombies with your fist to get their super rare iron drop. Collect enough iron to get a cauldron and a bucket. Then, wait for it to rain, and wait for the rain to fill up your cauldron with water (sometimes witches drop bottles of water too, which you can use to fill up your cauldron). THEN you use that water to convert zombies into drowned, THEN you kill the drowned to get copper, THEN you use that copper to get a lightning rod which THEN you will use to convert PIGS into ZOMBIE PIGLINS, WHICH WILL THEN DROP GOLD SO YOU CAN GET A GOLDEN APPLE SO YOU CAN CURE A ZOMBIE VILLAGER SO YOU CAN THEN GET A VILLAGER TO GET EMERALDS AND SO THEN YOU CAN GET SAPLINGS FROM A WANDERING TRADER AAAAAAAAGH!!
Anyways, as you can imagine, it's very tedious and very RNG based. As for my current progress in the world, I don't have enough gold for a golden apple yet. So I don't have villagers for an iron farm. Still, I have a copper rod, which means I had a bucket right? Well I did! In fact, I even had two iron ingots to spare from punching zombies all day that I even made shears. But then... Something I would like to call the incident happened.
It was a nice rainy day, I was busy killing mobs in my mob drop farm. I then realized I hadn't fed my very few pigs yet (as they had JUST been struck by lightning earlier before the rain came back) so I rushed over and BAM! Lightning struck, only giving me a small handful of pigs, which was very disappointing because lightning storms took a WHILE to come and I only got very little gold in return. Still, I wanted to kill the zombie piglins. My biggest mistake? Doing it while the storm kept going.
Some of the fire from the lightning destroyed the wool blocks I used to decorate the pig pen (Note, I did not have wood so there were no fences!) Which made them able to jump right out. So I had the brilliant idea of fixing the pen, aggrovating them, and then getting killed in the pig pen. And die I did. From the piglins AND the lightning.
Except... Remember the lightning rod? Oh yeah my plan mega backfired. I watched in awe as my items were FUCKING OBLITERATED BY A SINGLE LIGHTNING BOLT. LIKE FULL ON MY JAW DROPPED. HOW COULD I HAVE SEEN IT COMING. And just as if to mock me! The lightning struck me AGAIN WHILE I WAS GETTING WHAT LITTLE ITEMS I HAD LEFT IN THE PEN.
It was then it dawned on me, I had my bucket AND my shears with me. I was so caught up in the bliss of trying to flood my world and decorating my silly rainbow sheep pen, that I forgot to put my two most valuable items in my chest. And fuck. They were both gone.
So I've been back punching zombies to regain my iron. It's been taking me a few real life days of playing. So far I've gotten two... Until today. I decided to kill zombies during the night too (not the ones in my spawner) and lo and behold.
I GOT MY FUCKING BUCKET BACK!!
